Promote Bulgaria is an independent, non-profit website that shares Bulgarian news, history, culture and travel with readers around the world. These are the standards we follow.

What we publish

We focus on positive and notable stories from Bulgaria, Bulgarian history and traditions, and practical travel information. News articles are based on official announcements, Bulgarian and international news agencies, and primary sources, which we link wherever possible.

Accuracy and sources

We check names, dates and figures against at least one reliable source before publishing. Historical articles draw on published research and museum or academic sources. Where facts are uncertain or disputed, we say so.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and note the correction at the end of the article. To report an error, email hi@promotebulgaria.com with the article link and the correction.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to help with research, translation, editing and podcast voice-over. Every article is reviewed and edited by a person before it is published, and we remain responsible for everything on the site.

Advertising and sponsored content

Advertising never decides what we write about. Banners, featured listings and sponsored articles are always clearly labelled as advertising or sponsored. Free community listings are reviewed before they go live. See Advertise with us for details.

Independence

Promote Bulgaria is not affiliated with any political party or government body. Donations and advertising help cover running costs.
