About Promote Bulgaria
Promote Bulgaria is a non-profit initiative dedicated to sharing the richness of Bulgaria with the world. Our mission is to preserve, celebrate, and promote Bulgarian history, culture, and traditions in an authentic and inspiring way.
Bulgaria is a land of ancient heritage, vibrant customs, and remarkable achievements that deserve greater global recognition. From the legacy of Khan Asparuh and the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet, to the unique flavours of Bulgarian cuisine and the beauty of our landscapes, we aim to tell the full story of Bulgaria—past and present.
Our Mission
- To promote Bulgarian history and its global significance
- To showcase traditional and modern Bulgarian cuisine
- To celebrate cultural heritage, folklore, and customs
- To inspire pride among Bulgarians and curiosity worldwide
What We Do
We create engaging content, educational resources, and visual storytelling that highlight:
- History — historical figures, events, and milestones, from Khan Kubrat to the April Uprising
- Food — traditional recipes and local products such as Bulgarian yoghurt and regional specialties
- Culture — traditions, festivals, folklore and Bulgarian music
- Places — beautiful destinations across Bulgaria, from the mountains to the seaside
Why It Matters
Bulgaria is one of Europe’s oldest countries, yet its story often remains underrepresented globally. By promoting our heritage, we help preserve traditions for future generations and build a stronger cultural identity in a modern world.
Discover Bulgaria. Share its story. Experience its soul.
