Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of promotebulgaria.com and anything you buy, book, donate or post with Promote Bulgaria (“Promote Bulgaria”, “we”, “us”), which is run by Boryana Borisova as a non-profit project. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Returns Policy, Advertising and Listing Terms and Disclaimer. By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who can use the site

You must be at least 16 years old to buy anything, donate or post a listing, and able to enter into a binding contract (18 for paid advertising). If you use the site for a business, you confirm you can accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Using the site

You may read our articles and share links to them for personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, republish, sell or frame our content without written permission; scrape, data-mine or use the content to train AI models; hack, overload or interfere with the site; post spam or malware; impersonate anyone; or use the site for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing or misleading.

3. Our content

We aim to report news, history and culture accurately and fairly, as described in our Editorial Policy. Content is for general information; it is not legal, financial or travel advice. If you spot an error, tell us at hi@promotebulgaria.com and we will review it.

4. Listings, adverts and comments

Free and paid listings and adverts are covered by our Advertising and Listing Terms. You are responsible for anything you post and confirm you have the right to publish it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display and share it on promotebulgaria.com and our social channels while it runs. We may review, edit for length, refuse or remove content that breaks our rules, and we explain our decisions.

5. Shop orders

Prices are shown in the currency on the product page and include VAT or sales tax where we must charge it. Delivery costs and any customs duties are shown or explained at checkout.
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we email your order confirmation. We may refuse an order, for example if a price was clearly wrong, and will refund you in full.
Merch is printed on demand and shipped worldwide by our production partner Printful; delivery times are estimates. Risk passes to you on delivery.
Digital products are licensed to you for personal use only. You may not share, resell or redistribute them.

6. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts to support Promote Bulgaria and are covered by our Donations Policy.

7. Intellectual property

All content on promotebulgaria.com — text, photos, illustrations, logos, designs, audio and video — belongs to Promote Bulgaria or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. 8. Third-party sites and services

We link to other websites, advertisers and platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. They have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Our liability to you

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, or takes away your legal rights as a consumer (for example, under EU and Bulgarian consumer law, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the consumer laws of your country).

If you are a business or advertiser: to the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from any order or booking is limited to the amount you paid us for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.

10. Indemnity

If you are an advertiser, or you post content on the site, you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party makes a claim against us because of content you posted or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or end your access to the site if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. You can stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as intellectual property and liability) survive.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The Terms in force when you place an order or booking apply to it. If we make a significant change, we will tell you on the site or by email.

13. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, email hi@promotebulgaria.com and we will try to fix it quickly. We reply within 5 working days. You can also use any alternative dispute resolution scheme available to you in your country.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and can bring a claim in your local courts.

15. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms, together with the policies linked above, are the whole agreement between us about their subject.
