Bulgarian Students Win 103 Medals at Science Olympiads
🇧🇬 103 MEDALS. ONE PROUD BULGARIA.
Behind every medal is a young mind, countless hours of hard work, a dedicated teacher and a dream that reaches beyond borders.
In 2026, Bulgarian national science teams won 103 medals at international, European, regional, youth and Balkan olympiads:
🥇 24 gold medals
🥈 42 silver medals
🥉 37 bronze medals
Among the outstanding young talents is Andrey Stefanov, named Bulgaria’s Olympian of the Year for 2026 after winning gold medals in both mathematics and informatics at major international competitions.
These achievements remind us that Bulgaria’s greatest resource is its people — their intelligence, curiosity, determination and ambition.
To every student, teacher, parent and mentor who made these successes possible: thank you for showing the world what Bulgaria can do.
Let’s celebrate our young talents and give them the recognition they deserve! ❤️🤍💚
